加拿大政府日前发布一条法规更新提案，为加拿大2005年部分有毒物质禁用法规（prohibition of certain toxic substances regulations, 2005）增添了4个禁用物质：
苯乙烯和bnst的反应物——二苯胺（benzenamine n-phenyl）
多氯化萘（polychlorinated naphthalenes）
短链氯化烷烃（short-chain chlorinated alkanes）
三丁基锡（tributyltins）
该2012有毒物质禁用法规提案现在提起公众意见征询，征询期到2011年10月6日结束。
